Sneak Peek at a LONG Overdue Project!

The ugly black chair is no more!

I had to cut away the nearly shredded canvas framing so putting in a new one is going to be interesting…. As for the leather covered foam, it smelled old so I tossed it, too. I’m going to make a new cushion using my old dinette seats. I’ve had the fabric for this project for ages!

The padded arm rests are bolted on, so I’ll recover them in situ.

This is one of those projects that ended up costing way more than it should have: $15 for the chair, $5 for a can of spray paint, $1 for upholstery thread, and… nearly $200 for fabric. *gulp*

It’s going to be quite the statement piece… so long as I don’t mess up the crucial upholstery stage…

  • New table looks good. I love the cat on the step watching the world. I am looking forward to picturs of the revised chair. It will be beautiful. I think I was a very bad influence on you costing you too much money.

  • Tabitha’s not particularly fond of the open door, but Neelix loves it!

As for your influence, there is no regret on my part! This fabric is my own indulgence! My only worry regarding the expense is that I have the two cats who could easily wreck the project. Time will tell!
