A Day Off, Sort Of

Today was an easy, lounging, sleet-y kind of day. After the brouhaha of the last few months, it truly felt like a day off even though I completed a little over five billable hours! I need to do between ten and twenty hours a week and Monday is the first day of the weekly cycle, so I’m off to a roaring start for this week!

Tomorrow, I will do an hour before heading out and then I won’t worry if I find myself without internet for a couple of nights.

This dream life of mine is really taking shape.

  • days off are great but you should use Les’ expertise to get that furnace running. He would probably have some good input on the generator problem as well.

  • Remember the best circuit boards for fridges and water heaters are made by:

  • You mean water heater going, right? 🙂 Les has confirmed that I need a circuit board and that Dinosaur is the way to go. He’d have to get the part shipped, same as I would, and I can install it myself so there’d be no advantage to waiting around here.

The water heater is working on and off again better than it did before thanks to the new probe and another adjustment Les made. He bought me some time!

Generators are beyond his ken. I know exactly what’s wrong with it, I just have to find the motivation to get down under that thing, trace the fuel line, and replace the fuel filter. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t feel like such a huge deal to me. When I really need the genset I’ll get the motivation to get it done.

  • Yes, I meant the water heater. It should be easy to replace it yourself, the tough part is knowing which board to order.

I should have known you would not pass up the opportunity for some advice and assistance!

  • I didn’t even have time to ask, Les brought up the subject himself!

Dinosaur clearly indicates what boards goes with which models; it’s finding a Canadian supplier that’s the tough part!
