Hi Ms. Rae – I’m just getting back to my RV dream project and revisiting your site – trying to read back and catch up on posts and having technical difficulties: I can’t seem to find a way to read the posts chronologically. Help? Or maybe just duh? Thanks – Liz
Hi Liz, thanks for visiting!
The first post is on this page: http://travelswithmiranda.uskeba.ca/?p=3
At the bottom, you’ll see a link for the following page. And so on. I agree that it’s not very intuitive! You can also use the calendar on the main page to navigate backwards, but I think that just going to page 3 and starting from there is easiest. You can bookmark what page you stop at and come back to your reading later.
Hey! Your blogs are awesome! I’ve just graduated university annnnd instead of renting as per usual I’ve been seriously considering sticking true to my spirit and following in your footsteps. I really think you’ve struck an amazing balance between different aspect of your life and I get I just wanted to offer you a ‘congratulations’ for going for it… I know so many ppl have given me the 5th degree when I explain what I’m hoping to do so I can relate and just wanted to pass on how ‘proud’ I am of u! lol I don’t know if proud is the right word, being as we have never met— but none the less!
I also have a few questions I would be soooo grateful to get a young female RVer’s opinon on. If you find time to send me an email it would mean the world. Thanks a lot and keep givin’er!!!
Hi Rae,
I’ve been following your blog for quite some time as well as Crofts. I just read your comment on Crofts website.
I live in Whistler and should you need any help please email me. What’s wrong with your rig?
Regarding the ferries, are you aware that they have cancelled a couple of sailings (started on Tuesday) between Horseshoe Bay – Nanaimo.
I’m more than happy to help you with anything you need, albeit I’m in Whistler not Pemberton.
Regards,
Kelly
Hi Kelly, thanks for your comment. The rig’s getting new brakes after the old ones were burnt up on the Duffy. *wry grin*
As for the canceled sailings, they are all in the evening. I don’t plan to cross in the dark, so the cancellations won’t affect me. Thanks for the heads up!
I can’t believe real people live in Whistler. I was there for lunch today and the place was a ghost town!
Hey Rae,Yes, there’s , 9863 +/- a few. You’ve arrived just as the tourist ‘s have left. This is the time we all take vacation including us, except for the fact that we just had our kitchen redone and I’ve acquired another part time position (or I’d be heading out).
My husband won’t take our unit (1994 Itasca Class A) on the Duffy, it’s a tough road. What’s the prognosis of your vehicle? Email me and I can tell you great spots to boondock on the way to Horseshoe Bay if you need them.
I emailed Croft in case you didn’t check out your blog. My favorite place in Pemberton is the Wildwood Bistro for breaky!
Whistler is a great town you only have to live here to figure it out! It’s different for locals…..really.
Regards,
Kelly
Hi Kelly,
Prognosis is very good, just expensive.
Miranda will be perfectly mechanically sound again in about two hours.
I’ve emailed you regarding boondocking options. It’s getting foggy out so I doubt I’ll be getting in much mileage today.
I’ve been pretty much living at the Mount Currie Coffee Co. where they have internet. It’s getting expensive, but it’s an ideal spot to hang out.
I’m sure Whistler is different for locals, I just found it surprisingly unapproachable for tourists. I was impressed by the incredible amount of free parking, however. Free parking always makes me give towns extra points.
Where is the law published on the topic “Where it is illegal is dump you grey water into the ground and what fines you can get?
Thanks
Dennis
Dennis, I frequently see signs in BC saying no dumping with fine amounts in the thousands of dollars. Look up the Waste Management Act.
