My whole life, I dreamt of living by the ocean, but it was the Atlantic I had in mind. The Pacific seemed too far away. So, I appreciate the fact that my first near-ocean home is by the Pacific! I love strolling on the beach near Peace Arch Park. This afternoon, I actually had the presence of mind to bring my camera:

The beautiful weather didn’t last. A storm rolled in very quickly and it got cold suddenly. I had a rather unpleasant walk home as it was spitting rain, but I was delighted to see that rain turn into big fluffy flakes of snow!
Back to rain now.

Ah, I can’t wait to move there! I was the opposite, always wanted to live near the Pacific for some reason, I guess it just sounded nicer to me. Evoked images of warm weather whereas the Atlantic sounds so cold and harsh. .. maybe media portrayal? Anyway, thanks for sharing the photos, they are lovely. I especially liked the ones of the rocks and pebbles (I collect rocks and very much appreciate the variation in them. . .I am an amateur geologist.)
I had the same perception of the Atlantic vs the Pacific! How odd!
Having seen both at northern and southern extremes, I can say that they are identical.
The Atlantic at Georgia height is as warm and inviting as the Pacific is in southern California while the Pacific in BC in February is as foreboding as the grey Atlantic in Nova Scotia in November.
Of course…. I love it… Rae’s Duck Shoes Go To….
Go for it girl… I’ll follow!
