And a tree came down…

This post is at Croft’s request. Let it not be said that I won’t post on demand! :D

Two mornings ago, at about 8:20, a huge, seemingly healthy, tree keeled over, taking out a fence and apparently rocking the house. The fellow staying in the house and I are a bit worried about the bank coming down now that the tree roots aren’t there to hold the thing together.

  1. Thank you Rae! Two years ago we took out all the dangerous trees on the bank, leaving the root systems in for obvious reasons. That particular tree was judged to be safe and healthy at the time but things have obviously changed!

We understand Colin has arranged for disposal and we will deal with the fence the next time our son is up.

  2. Colin and I were a bit shocked seeing as the tree seemed healthy enough! This just goes to show just how dangerous erosion is!
