[...] We had a pleasant afternoon at Canyon City and after dinner we hiked a few more klicks (without our packs!) to the site of the gold rush era Canyon City to see a few artifacts. This involved crossing a suspension bridge, something that I can now do without any fear or hesitation whatsoever. How far I’ve come since last September! [...]

I don't think they would survive! LOL - two teenagers, a cat, a husband, and me in an RV? that's dangerous territory!

That's ok - I can wait. I'll have everything planned and ready by the time I go though!

Thanks for visiting, Danielle!

Winnipeg is very dear to my heart; it's such a compact, vibrant community, and it has a large francophone community. It was almost home. :)

Take the kids with you on the road; it would be such a great opportunity for them!

I've been absorbed by your blog for the past hour and finally decided to search and see if you'd been anywhere near Winnipeg only to find out that you have some sort of fondness for it! That's where I am.

I'll be doing a lot more reading here because this is exactly what I want to do in 10 years (when my kids move out). I love, love, love it!

You've definitely got a new reader!

[...] I couldn’t believe I was there, under those magnificent towering redwoods on a glorious Tuesday evening! If I could with me only one visual memory of Vancouver, it would be of the view from the Twin Falls bridge, of all that turquoise water smashing down on the rocks below. My boots were very comfortable, albeit stiff, and I savoured every second of my hike. I even stopped mid-span on the suspension bridge and looked down. How far I’ve come since Eagle Canyon!
